The SMB SysAdmin The thoughts of a one man IT department.

I was having a terrible time with an HP ML350 G5 server running W2k3 server 64bit blue screening at work. This was like the third time it had had this problem. I had managed to resolve it in the past by googling the bsod error codes and finding driver updates and a couple of hotfixes from microsoft. The other times it would only blue screen a couple times a month usually while running backups, but this time it was happening several times a week and at the time I had alot going on and it was a few days and several bsod's before I had a chance to really look at it to see what was doing on. After looking through the eventlog and memory dumps I went to HPs's website to see if there were any new drivers or firmware updates and found they had released a new SAS/SATA raid controller driver I downloaded and installed it and haven't had to touch the server since, probably been 3 weeks now. We have 2 other Hp servers, and this ML350 is the only problem child of the bunch.
